Sasuke X Reader -Too Late-

I'm holding on your rope, got me ten feet off the ground  

"I'm sorry!"

 And I'm hearing what you say, but I just can't make a sound  

Tears rolled down his cheeks, he never cries. He was always so strong but the scene in front of him...broke him.

(Y/n) laid there...on the floor, the akatsuki got to her. He couldn't save her...She's gone. Because he didn't make it to her fast enough. It was his fault. All his fault.

 You tell me that you need me then you go and cut me down, but wait  

"This isn't how it's suppose to end! I'm sorry!"

He shook with every sob, before this he treated her poorly. He didn't protect her. He didn't give her the love she needed. Itachi smirked as Kisame took his sword out of (y/n)s stomach. Making her cough out blood. Sasuke was enrage but also weaken and sad. He couldn't move, only holding (y/n) in his arms,"You're not suppose to l-leave me. You said forever." You were alive but barely. Before this you and him had a fight. In the process of fighting....he hit you.

 You tell me that you're sorry, didn't think I'd turn around, and say (that)  

_FlashBack_

"Why the hell were you with him (y/n)?!" Sasuke yelled. You clenched your fist glaring at him,"I was just hanging out with Naruto! He's my fucking friend you prick!" This got Sasuke pissed off, he lifted his hand and smacked her. (Y/n) fell to the ground in shock, she held her now bruised cheek. Tears formed in the corner of her eyes. Sasukes eyes widened when he realized what he just did,"(y-y/n) I didn't mean t-" Tears fell from her eyes. She whimpered and took out something wrapped up. She threw it at him,"I was with Naruto to get you a present...happy birthday you jerk." She turned and ran out of the apartment. He screwed up. Big time. He put down the box and went after her.

(Y/n) ran. She ran til she couldn't anymore. She ran into the forest and leaned on a tree catching her breath,"S-stupid..." she muttered.

 "It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."
I said, "It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."

She sighed and started walking she started playing with a ring she had. She hoped Sasuke opened her gift...She stopped when she heard a voice,"Well look who it is." Her eyes widened and then glared in disgust,"Why all alone little one? Where's your precious boyfriend? Did he ditch you? Not surprised." You reached into your pouch pulling out a kunai. You turned to face him. Itachi smirked. "What happened to your cheek little one? Did he hurt you?" Kisame smiled showing his sharp teeth. You glared at the both of them taking a step back. Like Sasuke, You hated Itachi with a passion. "Speak up butterfly-" You yelled,"SHUT UP!" You threw a kunai at Itachi and he easily dodged it. "You gotta do better than that. Kisame." Kisame nodded and charged at (Y/n). She dodged him and kicked him into a tree. "You've gotten better, I must admit. Kisame, finish this pest." Kisame got up and charged at her once again. She managed to punch him in the face. This got Kisame pissed off. Itachi charged at you, all your attention went to him. Stupid. You didn't see Kisame pull out his sword. In the distance you saw and heard Sasuke,"(Y/n)!" Naruto and Kakashi was behind him running. "Sasuke-!" Kisame's sword was plunged into her back, Her eyes widened and she coughed blood. Sasuke kicked Kisame away and (y/n) fell down.

Which takes us to the presence.

 I'd take another chance, take a fall, take a shot for you

"I wasn't fast enough. I-I'm sorry." He choked on his tears. Naruto and Kakashi was currently fighting Kisame as Itachi watched the couple. He rolled his eyes but smirked. Sasuke's eyes turned red,"You...I'LL KILL YOU!" He got up and charged at Itachi. Itachi's eyes widened with the impact to his stomach from Sasuke's fist. He coughed blood, Sasuke drove him through a tree. Sasuke punched and punched and punched...Itachi was already knocked out (surprisingly) his face was bloody. But that wasn't enough for Sasuke, he wanted to kill him. Soon kakashi pulled Sasuke off of Itachi,"No! PUT ME DOWN! DON'T TOUCH ME!" Sasuke yelled kicking and trying to get out of his grip. Sasuke completely lost his cool. "Sasuke. Sasuke listen to me! CALM DOWN!" Kakashi put Sasuke on the floor. Sasuke crawled to (y/n) crying,"She's gone...i-it's my fault."

 I loved you with a fire red, now it's turning blue, and you say,
"Sorry," like the angel heaven let me think was you, but I'm afraid...

"It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."
I said, "It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."  

Naruto looked at (y/n) with tears in his eyes. Even Kakashi was sadden. This was a dull moment for the three males. (y/n) was still alive, her breath was slow. And her eyes half close. Sasuke held her close not wanting to let go,"I'm sorry...i'm so so sorry..Please f-forgive me." His eyes stained red and new tears fell. His hair covered his face. Naruto wiped his tears looking at his sensei,"Don't we have time to take her to the hospital?! She's still awake!" "It's to far away. And it will cause her much pain taking her there..." He responded. Naruto only yelled and hit a tree next to him busting it open.

(Y/n) slowly looked at him and placed a hand on his cheek,"...It's t-to late Sasuke.." Her eyes shut and her hand fell from his face. Sasuke's eyes widened,"N-No! (y/n)! Stay awake! Don't fall asleep! Please! I love you (y/n)!" Kakashi frowned and put a hand on his shoulder. Sasuke shrugged him off,"Don't touch me."

 "It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."
I said, "It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."  

Kakashi sighed and picked up (y/n),"...Let's go."

The trio followed in silence. No one dared to speak. The only sound was the leaves crunching under their feet.

 I said, "It's too late to apologize," yeah (too late)

_Later_

Sasuke stood up and looked at her grave. The only one who ever understood him. Loved him. And cared for him, is gone... "I miss you (y/n)..." He stared at the grave, he bent down and placed a rose on her grave and walked away.

Sasuke made it home, he saw the box on the table. Right...It was his birthday. He pursed his lips together and grabbed the present. He opened it and what was inside made him tear up and shake. It was a picture of them both at their first date. And next to it was a promise ring. She must of had the other one on...He slipped it on and sat on the couch crying.

"She's really gone..."
